Ms. Nandini Talukder

Nandini Talukder is a research scholar in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (Visual Art) at IIT Kharagpur, India. She completed her BFA and MFA in Painting from Rabindra Bharati University in 2019 and 2021, respectively. She has participated in and received awards at various exhibitions, residencies, and biennales across India, and has also been involved in several Indo-Canadian field schools in recent years.

As an artist, she primarily works with acrylic while also exploring mixed media using cloth and thread. Her current research focuses on the determination of the value of painting through a multi-perspective study of aesthetic judgement in physical and digital art spaces in India. In addition, she collaborates with other scholars on projects examining improvisation in visual arts, personality traits, creativity domains, and tolerance of uncertainty and ambiguity.
